Fountain of Bliss Prayer Wheel
This unique one of a kind prayer wheel is made of sustainably harvested Walnut and Maple woods and a beautiful labradorite cabochon. The shape is made to resemble a fountain, the “fountain of bliss”. Silver mantras are engraved down the outside in a fluidly curving stream resembling flowing water. The mantras engraved correspond to the 3 kayas : Amitabha’s mantra on the top level, the mani mantra of Avalokiteshvara on the second level and the mantra of Guru Rinpoche on the lower level. The base of the prayer wheel is engraved with a large golden crossed vajra or dorje. The top of the fountain is made from a three tiered crown of shimmering quilted maple wood with a beautiful labradorite cabochon mounted into the very top.
The hollow inside of each level of the “fountain” is filled with 5 different mantras printed on microfilm. The top level contains 17.1 million Amitabha mantras. The middle level contains 136 million mani mantras and 13 million Green Tara mantras. The lowest level contains 3 million Guru Rinpoche or Padmasambhava mantras and also 7.6 million Medicine Buddha mantras.
Polished solid brass handles allow the easy spin of the prayer wheel and the smooth high quality sealed ball bearings keep it spinning for quite a while. The prayer wheel measures about 13 inches high and 9 inches wide at the base.
