Flame Box Elder Prayer Wheel
This is our standard size handheld prayer wheel. This perfect size was developed over many years of trial and error. It is large enough to contain a substantial amount of mantras, yet small enough to carry around easily and also be spun for hours without resulting in fatigue. It is made out of rare and beautiful flame box elder wood. The red streaking in the wood is natural and is caused by a fungus introduced to the dead wood by boring beetles. Some beetle holes are present in this particular piece of wood and are filled with black natural epoxy. We featured this on purpose to highlight the natural connection of how this type of wood is produced in nature via a unique karmic connection between trees, beetles and fungus. The handle length is between 5 and 6 inches. The handle has an ergonomic grip which comfortably facilitates the slight muscle movements needed to spin the prayer wheel without it feeling awkward in the hand.
Inside it contains 24 million Mani mantras,2,5 million Green Tara mantras and 1.5 million Medicine Buddha mantras, printed on microfilm. It spins effortlessly on high quality lifetime ball bearings using a lapis lazuli stone as a spinner, attached with a sturdy yet elegant chain. It has crystal top.
