Here at the Prayer Wheel Shop we have made hundreds of unique custom prayer wheel s to meet the needs of a multitude of spiritual practitioners all over the world. In this process we combine our many years of experience with woodworking, prayer wheel making, buddhist practices and various disciplines of fine artwork to design and produce the unique prayer wheel that is right for you. Almost all of the elements of a prayer wheel can be custom modified to meet the vision and purpose of your unique practice and needs. Some of these design choices include the wood type and color, the artwork or mantras engraved on the outside, the size and shape of the design, the spinner stone, and the mantras and prayers contained on the inside.
A custom prayer wheel can be quite simple or very elaborate depending on what you envision. We often modify our standard prayer wheel designs just a little bit to accommodate a unique need. For example someone might want an extra long handle so they can rest it on the ground when they are spinning it while in sitting meditation; whereas another practitioner might want an extra short handle so they can rest it on their knee during meditation. Others might want a standard prayer wheel, but with a unique combination of mantras or prayers filling the inside. We also regularly make very elaborate custom artworks in which every aspect of the prayer wheel is unique including detailed artwork covering the outside and many different mantras and prayers in specific combinations filling the inside.
